A man is Mississippi is definitely grounded this week. Twenty-two year old Roy Mitchell went into a convenience store in Brandon, Mississippi last Tuesday, bought a bag of Dorito's, and then attempted to rob the clerk with a plastic gun. While he was demanding all of the money from the clerk's drawer, guess who walked in behind Mitchell. Was it Scruff McGruff the Crime Dog? Was it the Brandon police? Nope, it was it his mommy.
The assistant police chief in Brandon, Chris Butts, had this to say about the mom: "I kind of feel like she's somewhat of a little hero," he said, "If the clerk had a gun it could have been real messy."
