Brian Collins was covering the March 22, 2005 game between the Indiana Pacers and the New Jersey Nets - and it was a horrible performance. Millions of people have seen this video, but not everyone knows the story behind it, so here it is. Collins agreed to be on Ball State University's college newscast because the regular sportscaster was ill. The teleprompter worked, but a new prompter-operator accidentally fast-forwarded through the script. Diana Radcliff walked into a convenience store in Kansas City, Missouri on September 1, 2010 and she witnessed a failed robbery attempt. Radcliff fell to the floor as her friends/amigos behind the counter started shooting at the criminals as they ran out of the building. Today's throwback video of the week is "Lazy Sunday." If you didn't know, it's a song that was the resurgence for Saturday Night Live. Back in 2005 SNL was struggling. They were trying to find their identity, and had tried a "Digital Short" once. Digital Short's are sketches that are recorded in advance, instead of the typical live performances you see on SNL. Chris Parnell and Andy Samberg got together with a couple of the SNL writers that Samberg grew up with and knocked out Lazy Sunday in one day. Hello, I'm an 18 year old guy who found out a week before my birthday that my 16 year old teenage girlfriend is pregnant. First off, is it illegal to continue having sex with her in Missouri? Ahhh...1998. I was 17, our very own Pat was in his late 40's, and Baz Luhrmann put out a song that I liked because of the beat. And every year that I get older, it makes more sense. The song came from an article called "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young" written by Mary Schmich in the Chicago Tribune as a column in 1997. She described the article as a commencement speech she would give if she were asked to give one. Australian film director Baz Luhrmann used the lyrics on an album of his in 1998.
