So I have a female coworker, her boyfriend is my friend and we all have lunch together sometimes. Her and I are good friends only, I'm married - and happily at that. But the point is, we text and make sexual jokes. I have introduced her to my wife, whom says she doesn't remember meeting her. Well, my wife went through my phone and took it as cheating. I understand anger a little, but we have never done anything other than text and eat lunch (only at work). My wife is talking about breaking off our marriage. Do you think she really means it? Do you think she wanted a reason to leave me anyway?

A few weeks ago, a guy friend of mine told me a story about a girl he met on vacation. He’d recently gotten out of a fairly long relationship and, being on vacation, was looking for something fun and relaxing. This young lady, however, had decidedly other plans. Almost immediately, she was asking him to a wedding, texted him constantly, and while ignoring his lack of response she jumped straight into inappropriate texting. At first blush, this girl seemed to him, to be fairly normal. She was pretty, sweet and, he thought, emotionally stable. But clearly he was wrong.
Without delving into the delicate psychology... Read More
How much time should I wait to call a girl back after a first date? Should I play it cool and wait 3 or 4 days or just call her and risk being over-eager?
-Rich G.
Emily's Take: How did the date go?
If it went really well and you two talked about doing other things in the future, then by all means call her when you want. I've never seen it as "over eager" if a guy calls me the day after our date - and before I go any farther - bonus points to you for wanting to call her instead of texting!
If you're having a good time and you want to go out again, call her. If you attempt to wait too many days, her weekend might... Read More
A Bro Council reader Tweeted me this recently: "Beardcicles are a real thing - this is perfect material for Bro Council." And they were right. The picture you see above combines several Bro Council Approved things:
Two beards, including one pretty amazing mustache.
Sports. Although I prefer playing football or hockey to running, that's just me. I think it's my ADD at fault, and there are a ton of people who like other sports, and these guys are serious about running. Which leads me to the third thing...
There are freaking icicles on their beards! Now that's dedication. I used to run a 5 mile loop at a local park, and I would use a drop in... Read More
Rock icon Sting turned 60 back in October of 2011. He served up a birthday concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York City that featured him performing some duets with artists like Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, and Billy Joel. There was one duet that stole the show though, and that was Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.
Even though the video is over two years old, this gem was just uploaded this weekend. Checkout Robert Downey Jr. showing off his singing skills in the video below.

If you like Kurt Cobain or Nirvana, you should go to Russia. Based simply on this one video, I'm 100% sure that every Russian who rides the subway there sounds exactly like Cobain.
Even if Russians don't all sound like him, this guy would still be worth the trip. Take a listen to this subway performer playing Nirvana's classic Pennyroyal Tea. If you're not familiar with the song, it was written by Cobain in 1990 in an Olympia, Washington, apartment he shared with Nirvana drummer (and Foo Fighters icon) Dave Grohl. "Dave and I were screwing around on a 4-track," said Cobain, "and I wrote that song in about thirty seconds. And I sat down... Read More
