According to sources, these could be the jerseys that the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers wear at the the 2012 Winter Classic, the NHL's biggest game of the year (ahem...next to the Stanley Cup Finals, of course). Who are the "sources" you ask? Well, don't ask. Because no-ones telling. I hope these sources turn out to be one kid who goes to high school in Philadelphia and is good with Photoshop. Does anyone have a percentage of how often the sources are right on anything? Anyway, they actually look pretty good despite the fact that they look like every other Flyer's jersey ever made. At least this one doesn't have "Bieber" written... Read More
I lived in southern Ohio for four years, and I saw a lot of strange stuff. I once saw a drunk guy dressed as a lobster play hide-and-seek on a public street with a gigantic stuffed bulldog on a Tuesday night unrelated to Halloween. I saw six guys dress up as GI Joes and pose as statues for three hours straight and I even saw an impromptu flashmob pillow fight take place in the middle of an intersection while I sat at a red light. But this takes the cake for the weirdest thing I've ever seen in southern Ohio. Even weirder than the thousands of pairs of random panties found along a roadway. This place was some sort of small-town zoo in Zanesville.... Read More
The DeLorean - one of my favorite cars as a child (because of Back To The Future), a durable and rugged vehicle (because of the solid steel body), and a corporate disaster (because the company lost 2,500 jobs and over $100 million). But, it's still an awesome car because of the Back To The Future connection. And a company called DMC in Texas has been producing them for years using original frames that were bought out of liquidation, and a claimed "80% original" parts in the "new" vehicles. They start at around $57,000 and are completely awesome. In an attempt to keep up with the "Green" movement, the DMC Company has decided to add... Read More
Ok people, have you ever heard of the Zombie Walks? According to the World Zombie Day website, the walks are "a day when all fans of zombie culture can join together in an international effort to alleviate world hunger. At all World Zombie Day zombie walks, participating living dead are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item donations for local food banks." That sounds good and all, but lets get serious; the real reason people do this is so they can dress up like zombies and walk around cities all over the world without being institutionalized. I saw an ad on Facebook last night that read "Is your man the manliest man?" and absolutely had to click on it, for the sake of all of you Bros. Was it an ad for Epic Meal Time? ESPN? Nose hair clippers? No, it was an ad for diamond jewelry. Seriously. Blue Nile is holding a contest to find "Manliest of the Manly" to win a diamond engagement ring and dream proposal in NYC. Apparently even the manliest of men is a sucker for shiny jewelry and flash-mob proposals. If you think you're manly enough to meet their criteria of "wrestling wild boar while wearing a ham necklace," (which makes me think of this commercial for Degree Men) then enter here.
