In July, we were blessed with new neighbors across the street. I knew instantly that this was going to be an adventure...multiple generations living in the same house, a pregnant teenager, her boyfriend, and a guy that drives up in a PT Cruiser who is so big he can't get out of his car. When he comes to visit, he lays on the horn until someone from the family comes out and talks to him from the porch. Just a few signs that alerted me that these people couldn't move out fast enough. It was the week of the 4th of July. In an attempt to endear themselves to the neighborhood, they set off fireworks every night for five straight nights - at... Read More
Today we have our first ever BroCouncil.com movie review; not just any movie, but Kevin Smiths new movie. Yes, that Kevin Smith and no it's not another Jay and Silent Bob (I wish). Don’t worry, I don’t plan on making any Jersey Girl jokes since he does that himself. This is a horror movie that if you didn’t know who wrote and directed it, you would do a double take and say WHAT? For Smith fans we have heard for quite some time now about Red State but not a lot of actual information about it. That is, until Kevin started doing select city screenings before its actual release. I myself got to rent it on Apple TV from the comfort of my own home last night.... Read More
Does it scare anybody else that some marketer thought that "Bing: The Decision Engine" would be an effective slogan? Does anybody else sense an Artificial Intelligence sci-fi thriller here? Ever since Bing first made its appearance, I have been freaked out by it. I think I have used it three times. And it is just a search engine, like any other search engine. It takes past choices and friends' choices into account when giving you results, but it is just a search engine. What scares me more than a search engine misnomer is the idea that people find it attractive to have a computer make decisions for them. Hasn't anybody seen Terminator?! All... Read More
I don't think you ever really know for sure what's real or not on the internet. Pat for example, is real. That French model from the Geico ad is not. This video you're about to see is... Monday morning's game: You can check out this video and then scroll down to find out if it's real or not. Good luck, people. If you guessed fake, you're smart enough to watch Micro Championship Wrestling! The video was a viral advertising campaign put out for the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Thanks for playing, bros!
It's pretty timely with the introduction of our new favorite fan Oskar, but this story out of Sweden proves that no good deed involving massive property destruction and car theft goes unpunished. This 22-year-old Swedish Lord of Dogtown decided to do his BFF/bromance a favor: build him an awesome skateboard ramp so his friend can hang out, look cool and wear JNCOs like its 1997. So, like what any good bro-friend would do, he stole the guy's car and power tools, destroyed his back patio and broke a few windows. Then, when his awesome skateboard ramp was completed, his friend said thank you in an equally awesome way...he called the cops, and now the ramp-builder is... Read More
I bet that print of a Jr. Roast Beef with a side of curly fries would have looked great above their Amish fireplace, even the electric ones in their trailer too. Seriously though, I'm going to have a whole new outlook of fast food art now. That stuff's in demand. Women Accused of Arby's Art Theft?? (Editor's Note: I'd like to point out that Pat did not get censored in this article. Congratulations Pat!)
